Okay, no, I would, because Portman is pretty famous, and has a higher movie profile than either Sarah.

Yeah, any way you slice it, that fametracker rating seems to have its head up its ass.

Hey. New board.

Yeah, my perspective may be skewed by my being part of the demographic that is most in love with NP, but I'd say she's more famous than either of the others, at least in the general population.

brillig

They might also have been in love with the "Hey! They're both named Sarah and they both have three names! Let's throw them in somewhere and look hip."

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I agree. I mean, she got tons of press for Garden State, and she's everywhere with Closer, and that's just recently. It would be really difficult to have missed her association with Star Wars, even if you tried. Though I would forgive not remembering her earlier stuff so well, since she was fairly young in a lot of them.

Though anyone who didn't see Where the Heart Is totally should, because it's awesome.

Hey. New board.

I like Beautiful Girls far more than I should. It is completely a guilty pleasure.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

To muddy the waters a bit, for Katie Holmes it says:

Current approximate level of fame: Sarah Michelle Gellar
Deserved approximate level of fame: Natalie Portman

I am so confused.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

In the review of Closer in the New Yorker (or maybe it was TONY) the reviewer was arguing that Portman is too beautiful, that directors don't know what to do with her. Lucas had to slather her with makeup so that she could fit in his asexual universe.

aaand, it's official: the Fame Audit just doesn't like SMG:

Current approximate level of fame: Kirsten Dunst Deserved approximate level of fame: Melissa Joan Hart

That is confusing, Victor.

Though I think it is fair to say that Sarah and Katie are pretty equal on the fame scale. It is beginning to look like everybody is at a Sarah level of fame, and deserves a rise, or something, however.

Does Julia Roberts get a ranking?
