I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

He was also okay as Michael Collins in From the Earth to the Moon, even though he didn't have much screentime.

Has anyone seen Christmas with the Kranks? I clicked over to Rotten Tomatoes, and it has a 4 percent rating, the lowest I ever remember seeing there.

I thought he did okay in Kiss the Girls.

I had problems with Kiss the Girls, but that was possibly because of Patterson's story, and not any of the rest of it, but those problems seemed to seep out into the rest of the movie.

Huh. I'd forgotten about that, possibly because he didn't get much screen time.

If I only had a brain...

I was thinking "What, they covered the Irish Rebellion in a space movie?'

Can I please have my brain back?

That, and a criminal waste of Jeremy Piven.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was thinking "What, they covered the Irish Rebellion in a space movie?'

Oh, me too! Me too!

I've not liked much of anything Cary Elwes has done besides TPB. I mean, he doesn't always pulsate bright green in his not-right-ness, but he's never impressed me, either.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I also loved Elwes in Hot Shots, Part Deux. He's wonderful at farce.

AFI has sent out ballots for another "100" list--this time for movie quotes. You can get the info (and the link to the PDF file for the 400 lines on the ballot) at [link] .

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

There are some really odd choices on that list.
