A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I got server errors on that link (different errors for Firefox and IE6 on XP).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

On a related note: what's the general consensus on Princess Mononoke?

Good stuff. I liked it better than Spirited Away.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Yes, I did. Should I rectify the omission?

To be honest, I couldn't really say. I mean, I have seen it but we're talking 15 years ago at least. I do recall enjoying it and Walter seemed to be having a ball. I guess it's worth a look.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Heh--a delightfully irreverent look at movies about men in skirts, featuring stills with lots o' leg.

On the highbrow sorcery end are a raft of Arthurian legends. Then there are the Shakespearean skirt films, which tend to attract better actors (Laurence Olivier, morose in peroxide hair and a tunic, in "Hamlet") but to feature, sadly, less perspiration.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Princess Mononoke is very very good. Spirited Away is better.
