Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh yeah - what about the Oddfellows?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I may be behind in my conspiracy theoryology, but I thought that the Illuminati were (supposedly) an anti-Catholic/Protestant/heretical faction whose mortal enemies are the crypto-Catholic Knights of Malta.

What's the current one that has suspicious hush-hush conferences attended by all the high muckey-mucks of various governments? Bilderberg, or something like that?

Yeah Matt - The Bilderberg Group.

The kind of thing that makes me feel okay about my paranoia.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Or the Stonecutter's Union?

Who controls the British crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who keeps Atlantis off the maps?
Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Guttenberg, a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cave fish of their sight?
Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do! We do!

I have a plan.

What's the current one that has suspicious hush-hush conferences attended by all the high muckey-mucks of various governments?

Dick Cheney's backyard BBQ weekends.

Hey! Cheney's supposed to be in an undiscloses location! Now the terrorists know he's in a backyard somewhere!

Shh! You don't want the terrorists to win, do you? Think of the consequences: the curtailing of civil liberties, the policy of official half-truths, the favoritism shown towards people who agree with them, the, uh, stacking of government with, uh, fanatical religious fundamentalists... OK, then. Nevermind.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Anyone seen the Cars trailer?

Pixar seems to think the word "dadgum" is really, really funny.

They are so right.

I've seen it twice. I was "meh" both times.

Seems like more of a kids flick.

Oh, yeah, I'm definitely not in love with it so far, just that "Dadgum!" at the end. And the use of Green Day. But Pixar has more than earned my trust. I thought Finding Nemo would suck from the trailers, and boy was I ever wrong. Pixar is six for six, even though I wasn't as in love with Monsters, Inc. as the rest of the world. I definitely liked it; it was cute, but not brilliant.
