Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I like genre where buff (black guys) goof around, often shirtless and sometimes sweaty, and at the end realise that they really do need to settle down with a lovely girl, the one they've been fighting against all flick.
I'm not sure if it's a chick flick or not, but it sure is pretty.
I like genre with swordfighting. And swooshy lace cuffs. And girls swordfighting in swooshy lace cuffs.
I am a woman of simple and basic tastes.
Waiting To Exhale is a traditional chick flick, with colour. The Brothers is an example of the masquerading movie I really appreciate.
Swordfighting with big lacy cuffs makes me nervous.

Dude, you need to give me recs.
Out of those top 25 chick flicks, I've only seen "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion," but that is a great movie.
Sadly, the only one I can think of has buff and kind of unattractive white guys, and the happily ever after is implied rather than stated flat out.
Which is why I've often said that my dream movie is a remake of that one (Tango and Cash) with Vin Diesel and The Rock, and with the subtext rising up and becoming text.
Not that it's ever going to happen. I'm a small and unneeded target market.

Which one gets the drag scene? Or is it both of them?
Hell, based on that list, they should add I Spit On Your Grave.
