When I said "point taken," to Jess, it meant I understood I'd made an unfair generalization.
Thanks so much for butting in to this.
Dude, a)I can't go froom your thoughts, only by what you posted, and all that you posted was that you didn't consider her husband mainstream; and b)ONE CANNOT "BUTT IN" TO A CONVERSATION ON A PUBLIC BOARD. I would have complained even if Jess hadn't said anything, because the generalization did bother me.
Lyra,
Perhaps you would like me to brand a scarlet "A" for "Asshole" into my fucking skin?
Okay, I'm formally requesting that if you two want to keep arguing, that my name not be mentioned. Because I'm over it.

I am not calling you an asshole, and I'm sorry that's what youre hearing. You're taking this way harder than I meant it. (Besides, you *asked* me to cut and paste.)
The hell?
Hey guys, cool it down, please. The discussion was not enough to warrant this.

I'm sorry, Jessica. I didn't mean to drag you into this, and I agree the conversation should not have gone this far. (As I said, it doesn't matter to me what your husband does, I just thought Sean made an offensive generalization, and I wanted to call him on it. I didn't mean for things to escallate beyond that, and I'm sorry that they did.)
Edit: I'm dropping the whole thing, because it's honestly not that important to me. Sean, if you want to talk about it, or yell at me, or whatever, the profile email's good.
....
So, has anyone seen "My Life Without Me"? I tried to watch it last night, but the first 30 minutes were so dull I decided i didn't need to see the other 70.

Hey, wait, is that the Sarah Polley movie where she's dying or something? I wanted to see that.

Yeah, she's a young mother, a janitor, with inoperable cancer.
