While I think Amy has about as much acting talent as the rest of that list combined, I'm not sure I can see her as a wisecracking Lois Lane who has a snarky rivalry/attraction thing going on with Clark Kent.
Hmmm, wonder who might be good at that sort of thing?
Routh is two damned years younger than Welling. I'm all sorts of excited about the new Batman movie, and pessimistic about Superman. Isn't that Supes demographic already satisfied by Smallville? Why not make a Smallville movie?
I'm telling myself that the relative importance of looking good in the suit is a lot greater for Superman than for Batman. You need someone with good acting chops to do the tortured obsessive result of childhood trauma, but for overgrown boyscout I'll settle for not wandering around looking stunned that he's no longer in a studio modelling underwear.
It shoulda been Victor Webster!

Kristen Bell, from
Veronica Mars.
Unless Lois has to be a brunette.
You know, I think I'm going to have to make a movie about curmudgeonly old cops, days away from retirement, on the hardest case of their lives....
Played by actual fifteen-year-olds.
Just to make a damned point.
Oh, god, I hope they're not having the actors for Superman play young! I'm just griping because the Lois actors seem for the same age demographic as Smallville, no matter what age they're playing.

Well, there was that gangster movie with all the characters played by children. Almost as weird as the all-midget musical Western.
eta: halfway through this thread....

Dude, I am SO in. We can raise money by selling the "making of" rights to the WB as a new hit reality series.
