Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and it just felt that Seth and Mac were making sure they didn't seem real.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I liked that movie - up until the point where the universe had to be saved by Bruce Willis having sex with a supermodel.

Just think of it as a shout-out to Xander's "no research" speech.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Another sexy foreign film with a theremin player.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

So, trying to decide what movie to take the kids to this afternoon. They are 18, 15, and 9 (but a very mature 9, who loves the Alien movies and Lagaan). My choices appear to be: Hero; Shawn of the Dead; Criminal; and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I have not seen Shaun, which I believe most here would choose to recommend to you, and I didn't love Hero, so my vote goes to Sky Captain, cause it's a damn fun movie.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd say Hero or Sky Captain, Gandalfe. Either should be enjoyable for all ages, and both are visually stunning. The 9 year-old might like the former better.

If I only had a brain...

Sky Captain!

In Hero, all the good guys die. Some of them die repeatedly.

Anyone ever seen The Sender?

I watched Requiem for a Dream at 3 AM this morning. It was pretty good...beautiful cinematography and a great score. But really, it didn't have any effect on me, probably because I'm not a junkie, and I never intend to be one. If I was a junkie, I'd think it would be a lot more meaningful to me.
