Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just did a trial period with Blockbuster, and I didn't like them as much as Netflix, both because of the NC-17 thing (I don't watch that many NC-17 movies, but I have issues with companies deciding such things for me) and because even though the two movies I got from them were mailed out on the same day and had the same expected arrival date, one of them showed up 4 days before the other.

Hey. New board.

Hmm. That's weird, because that actually did happen to me with the first DVDs I ordered, though it hasn't happened since. I assumed it was a USPS thing, not a Blockbuster thing.

Now, though, I'm starting to wonder.

Damn. I have four days 'til my trial period actually ends. Should I keep the membership or switch back to Netflix, I wonder?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

And Tim, briefly.

Woo hoo!

Hey. New board.

Okay. I cancelled Blockbuster. Back to Netflix. The clincher? Alias Season 1 had a "Very Long Wait" at BB but is "Available Now" at Netflix.

I guess there is something to say for sticking with what you know.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Donnie Darko: Director's Cut has made it to Chicago! I finally get to see the fucking thing! (Have never even seen the original version....)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Speaking of Shaun of the Dead, look who the "Hot Pick" is on Rotten Tomatoes.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Finally, a good zombie movie with some decent fart jokes.

Heh.

Isn't "decent fart joke" an oxymoron?

Anyway, I saw The Forgotten. I liked it a lot, but I can't say much about it without spoiling folks. It reminded me of a (probably not spoilery comparison to... something esle) X-Files episode. But a good one.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Blinks.

Sweet fancy Moses, Shaun of the Dead is playing in Maine. Score!

Up with the sun

I want to see both Shaun of the Dead and The Forgotten. Will probably see Shaun first, i think I need a laugh.

Last night I watched Blue Car. My god, is that an annoying movie. It's one of those films where nothing good (or especially interesting) ever happens and no one ever smiles and you're supposed to say, "oooh, how true to life." And they killed the one interesting character for no particular reason halfway through themovie, too.
