Art Crawl!!!

No!

I want to see it.

Karl Urban to star in Doom.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sumi, that Christian Bale interview made me go find the EW cover that made me finally concede that I was wrong, and dear Lord, is Christian Bale HOTT.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

About Doom:

directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak (Cradle 2 the Grave)

Ick.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

At least one critic is calling Sky Captain the best film of the year.

Edit: Whoops, that review is rather spoilery.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

From that "Doom" article:

the leader of a special ops team, who crosses paths with the organization responsible for his parents' deaths while battling alien demons,

Heh. The "alien demons" part is cracking me up. They are not just regular demons. They are demons from outer space!

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

They are not just regular demons. They are demons from outer space!

Giles would be appalled.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I don't care how hot Karl Urban is. If he's battling giant cockroach-like snot-monsters in this flick, I'm not watching it. Ew.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Didn't someone post a review here saying The Onion loved Sky Captain?

DavidS - Sep 15, 2004 7:39:52 am PDT #3908 of 10001
"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

At least one critic is calling Sky Captain the best film of the year.

Local paper loved it too. We'll check it out this weekend.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I kinda liked Riddick

I do want to see Sky Captain. I'm going out to St. Louis to visit my dad this weekend, so maybe I can coax him into seeing it. We are, after all, talking about a man who thinks that "Alien Resurrection" was the perfect movie to see on Thanksgiving morning.
