'Unleashed'
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

it's traditionally the province of someone looking to be rescued, workwise.
I saw a rumor on LiveJournal yesterday that they were thinking about Julian McMahon. I don't give it much credibility, but his career is much closer to Brosnan's than Eric Bana's is.
I'd cheer at the thought of that, except that his role on Nip/Tuck is tailor-made for him: nekkid as much as basic cable will allow.
I'm sure Jackman & Owen don't need it-- or, in Owen's case, may be holding out for more money-- which is why the idea that they would be offered after Bana turns them down is ludicrous.
But now Eric Bana and Julian McMahon's profiles are higher. Unless I'm wrong, and this is an acknowledgment of a career low for them, which seems unlikely for those in particular.
Personally, I don't go as far as suspecting PR. I suspect crackpots^H^H^Hwishful fans on the internet.
But now Eric Bana and Julian McMahon's profiles are higher.
Higher than whose? I'm not sure I follow you...
Higher than they were before they regularly appeared in the wire services.
I agree about Julian, but am not convinced about Eric Bana. I even think Clive's seen a good bump.
How about Guy Pierce?
I think he's too blonde and feral for Bond (who is slick and dark-haired). But he's yummy, so I could be sold on him.
