I'm big with the teen-comedy love...10 Things I Hate About You, Empire Records are personal faves, but I have to say Can't Hardly Wait is not one I would be naturally drawn to.

However, because I have mountains of Buffista-respect, it has now been N'flixed. Maybe I'll just go straight for the commentary.

I love me some Seth.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It's a small but charming film, Beej. I think you'll enjoy it.

"That'd be bitchin'."

Perfect opening for a job interview Joss.

Art Crawl!!!

Herc at AICN has the same quote but includes a quote from Avi Arad of Marvel.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Don't know if it was there before but on SciFi there is now a link to Joss talking about his interest in making Buffy and/or Angel television movies. Even though they may not include Buffy or Angel, which is interesting.

Going back to the "who's the new..." conversation. Odd as it may sound, I can really see Summer Glau as the "new" Audrey Hepburn.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The best part about Seth's commentary on Can't Hardly Wait is the fact that he speaks in a British accent for the first twenty minutes for no reason in particular.

Also, his commentary is just ridiculously generous. He has something kind to say about someone's performance in just about every single scene, and by "someone" I pretty much mean "every single person in the whole damn thing, including people whose scenes got cut entirely, at which point he'll describe the cut scene and say how good the person was." And if there's nothing worth praising in a particular performance in CHW, he reminisces about something that person did in the past and how great it was. He's unfailingly sweet and kind and melty-making.

melty-making

My favorite kind of making!

That brand of good heartedness always chokes me up. Not so much because it comes from a 'celebrity', but because there is such a paucity of it in the world at large.

Including, I hate to admit it, in me.
