Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whee!

Catwoman star Halle Berry may not be reprising her role in the second X- Men sequel - because she's reportedly "priced herself out". The sexy 37-year-old - who plays Storm in the hit sci-fi franchise - demanded a more important role and a bigger paycheck. But producers of X-Men 3, set for release in 2006, were unable to meet Berry's demands. A source tells British magazine OK!, "She priced herself right out".

Let's keep our fingers crossed. I love how there are rumours about her and only her not making it back.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

As long as Hugh Jackman returns I'll be happy. Well, him and Patrick Stewart. And Ian McKellen, of course, in all his purple caped glory.

OK, everyone but Halle would be lovely to see in their original roles, again. I don't have a huge Halle hate-on, but I never bought her as Storm.

If you'd told me ten or so years ago that I'd prefer Famke Jansen to Halle Berry, I'd be very surprised.

I'm reserving my opinion on whether or not she can act. But I can say with conviction that she doesn't always act. And that the stiffer of her choices appear laden with a pomposity that blends with what I see of her persona. So I can't get a warm fuzzy.

Also, she ruined my girl.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

After rewatching Kill Bill Vol 1 a couple of days ago, I'm going to be somewhat heretical and suggest Vivica Fox for Storm. She's got some major ass kicking skills.

She's been in so much crap, though. I've heard it said there's not a movie so bad that Vivica can't make it worse. However, she did not have that effect on KB.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Hilariously, neither McKellan or Jackman have priced themselves out-- of course, they would pay gold bullion to keep Jackman.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well, there were stories that Halle and Singer were at each other's throats during X-2, so she probably deliberately priced herself out - it's not like she was getting the screen time that befits a "star" or her magnitude.

t /rolling eyes

Anyone know how long the main players were contracted? Was it only the first two?

Art Crawl!!!

Hey -- that's true. I guess it's less what Halle costs but how much they are willing to pay her.

Art Crawl!!!

Danny Deckchair might be fun -- plus - Miranda Otto.

I checked the movie's website and it opens in wide release on the 27th.
