On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

::head cocked to the side:: Hm. 'splain?

Um, Tombstone is a frozen pizza and silver is a precious metal.

Well, yay! And, er... I don't think that was me. Because I've never seen it. I know about it, but it seems weird that I'd recommend it.

Oh. D'oh. You recommended It! The Terror from Beyond Space. Oops. It! Them! Who can tell the difference? But anyway, you should see Them! then. But at least that explains why I wondered what kind of crack you were smoking to say that Alien was basically a remake of Them!

I can't wait for this new Donnie Darko now. Hmmm.

My first question is are you Canadian, because they just showed that on the late movie on CBC on Wednesday. (International Movie Night) I watched an hour of it before I forced myself to go to bed. But it's no definitely on my list of movies to see soon.

No, I'm not Canadian (alas), I just joined Netflix last month.

Up with the sun

Only Shamylan movie I've seen is Unbreakable, which I actually liked (and seems at odds with the general consensus here.)

I liked Unbreakable; I thought it was an interesting concept and the acting was quite good. And I don't even have the comics geek claim.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I can't wait for this new Donnie Darko now. Hmmm.

I'm pissed offf. I can't find it playing anywhere near me.

The evil is this way?

I saw "Bourne Supremacy" last night. I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. Matt Damon was good, as was the rest of the cast. But the car chase through Moscow was just too much. It felt like it went on too long and after the opening car chase in India I was car-chased out. Joan Allen was good and I liked her character as well. Not enough Julia Stiles, though. I wanted her character to play a bigger role somehow. Liked the ending. Hope this means that both Joan Allen and Julia Stiles will be in the next one. As I recall, the books were a trilogy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

AFAIK it's only opening in New York and LA. If it does well there it'll move to other cities. I am still hoping it will hit Chicago--I even emailed an art-movie place near me asking them to show it (I got no response).

Actually, it's It! that ALIEN was a remake of, not Them. Seriously. That, and Mario Bava's PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES.

Um, Tombstone is a frozen pizza and silver is a precious metal.

Glurg. Here I was, in the middle of the night, looking for deep metaphoric meaning. Oops.

Never look for deep meaning when bad jokes will do.
