Halle Berry is on Oprah right now.
(My cubemates are big Oprah fans. We watch every day.)
The show's not even 5 minutes in, and she's already used the word "empowered" twice.
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Halle Berry is a twit.
I'll bet showing her breasts in Swordfish for no reason whatsoever was really empowering.
I don't have a problem with her showing off her boobies. It's the speaking part that drives me nuts.
There are only two scenes worth watching in Swordfish, and that ain't one of them.
I can only recall liking Halle in one movie: Boomerang.
I actually liked her in Bulworth (before anyone knew who she was), but she wasn't really playing a character there so much as a plot point.

It was for me...
Re. The Grudge: Huh. The third-in-the-series deal sounds pretty crack-headed. I probably won't care much as long as it's reasonably spooky and atmospheric (as The Ring was). Plus, Bill Pulman! (Who probably will end up getting killed 10 minutes before the movie ends!)
Halle Berry: Flouncing around in a skin-tight leather costume in a brainless action flick isn't gonna make you the gem of African American Womanhood, ya poseur. Oy.

Oh, I like most of that movie, in all its trashy computer hacker action flick glory.

That's the only place I've liked her too.
The only good thing about Swordfish was Hugh Jackman brushing past me on his way out of the theatre at the premiere, and the open bar at the party afterwards.
