The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.
One of Spider Robinson's puns that stayed with me was "They also surf who only sand and wade." I used that as a tag line for a little while.
I think the last book of his I liked was Lady Slings the Booze, but it has been a while, I guess I should go check out what he has done lately.

Huh. I may have to check out the Spider Robinson. He was one of my brother's favorite authors. But he stayed into hard SF when I was branching off into SF/fantasy and pure fantasy. I'm finding myself intrigued with some of the classic authors I either grew disenamoured off or just never got the love of back then.

I grew to loathe the Callahan stories. Loved Stardance. Found Night of Power deeply disturbing, but I forget why.
Of Brust, I enjoy the hell out of the Taltos and Paarfi novels, but find them too much work to keep the gamesplaying straight. I'm very behind on them. I adored Freedom and Necessity, even though I don't understand anything about Hegel or dialectics (and anyone who feels like explaining it, please feel free). Liked Agyar, thought The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars was brilliant but need to reread it. And I need to find a copy of To Reign in Hell because I only read it the once.
