I just think you're freakin' out 'cause you have to fight someone prettier than you.

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I enjoyed it. I'm not raving crazy about it yet, but I enjoyed it yet. Right now, I'm getting "X-Files meets Profiler meets CSI," so I'm happily waiting for the show to distinguish itself.

The one moment when I wanted to throw something at the TV? "She needs a makeover. Mel?" (or whatever the line was). Yes, clearly as the only other woman on the team, she's the one qualified to go pick out that really cute top that will make Rebecca look like a victim! Grrrrr.

I like Paul right now. I thought the "conscience" bit in the elevator was delivered and shot well. Webb is quite the bastard. I'm waiting for more information on Mel and Danny (still hate the name "Danny Love"), and I'm afraid I'm never going to be able to listen to Adam Baldwin and hear anyone but Jayne.

I was prepared to have my biggest problems with...Rachel Nichols? is that correct? She just didn't grab me in still photos, but I liked her performance quite a lot, especially in the scene that Jon mentioned, where she kept her eyes averted during her first conversation with Webb.

But what really cheered my heart? All the little Tim touches. Every time there was a line that I could hear and think, "No one could write that but Tim." That part was cool.

Here's my issue with the bit at the end where Web shoots the guy: if this were Firefly, I'd be all over it. But this is supposed to be the mundane world, not 500-years-in-the-future. You can't pull that shit now and get away with it, and if you do, the label you get isn't "efficient", it's "corrupt", and "steamrolling over civil rights". You do that stuff, they call you "The Oakland Riders" and put you on trial for human rights/criminal procedure violations.

Web made me laugh, but he didn't make me like him. Which is what happened when Mal shot that guy in The Train Job.

Does that make any sense?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My favorite part was when she said, "The fourth victim, Allyson Beatrice."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm unsure how physically she could continue to hold the knife even in that state

That's my issue. I don't have a problem with the psychology of it, but that kind of precision's gonna be difficult for anyone not a surgeon even with all nerve endings intact. Plus, slippery.

My favorite part was when she said, "The fourth victim, Allyson Beatrice."

Hey, that was one of my favorite parts too.

What makes you think it'll be dropped?

I keep seeing stuff like that, and I wonder why folks think their questions won't be addressed.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Okay, it's Web, short for Webster, right? Not Webb? Cause seeing it both ways is already starting to bug. (cf. Lily, Leanne, Lynne)

What makes you think I thought it would?

IJS, I liked it but at the same time, it bothered me about the character.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Web made me laugh, but he didn't make me like him. Which is what happened when Mal shot that guy in The Train Job.

Yup. Web is supposed to represent the law. Instead, he murdered a suspect. There's no excuse for that. If he resists, then you can shoot him. Rebecca ought to turn him in to Internal Affairs, or whatever the FBI equivalent is.
