Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Help me come up with a mneumonic for "The Inside" . My damn memory keeps letting go of it within 15 minutes of reading it, and has been doing that since the show was announced. (Note: this is not due a problem with the title, - just some sort of personal mental block. And I don't want to miss it dammit, so please come up with a clever pun or something that will help keep me from forgetting it.)

"The Insider will turn me inside out." "The inside is for outsiders'". Something on those lines, but you know, actually funny or striking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is how we do it on the inside, bitch?

Okay, perhaps not useful, but it's making me smile.

I think she was thinking O. C., not Emerald City.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

HBO Oz, I suspect she meant, Matt. Which works.

You do know they nicknamed the prison "Emerald City" on Oz, right? I mean, it was actually the Oswald Correctional Facility or somesuch, but they had the two nicknames to tie into the show title.

Oh, so it was an O.C. reference? Huh. I stand corrected.
