The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Weird pink loving person.

Sadly I now have "Oops, Inside Your Head (Oops Inside Your Head)" earworming me.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

You do know they nicknamed the prison "Emerald City" on Oz, right? I mean, it was actually the Oswald Correctional Facility or somesuch, but they had the two nicknames to tie into the show title.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, so it was an O.C. reference? Huh. I stand corrected.

Well, only ita knows for sure, but "Welcome to the O. C., bitch!" is pretty much the humorous catchphrase of the show.

Matt is right. Sadly, I wondered why msbelle brought up Oz. Sure, the wee werewolf is the little black dress of imaginary boyfriends, but even the little black dress doesn't go everywhere.

Pretty much full time.

How do! Writer of the article in question.

Yup, I was going for sarcasm. I may not have done as well as I'd hoped, but then this was the fifth total rewrite after the first four versions would probably have qualified for vicious slander against a network and I was trying to keep it light (and under 700 words).

For years now FOX has confused me. It supports some shows without qualification and lets other drop without a sound. Gail Berman apparently went to bat for "Arrested Development," which still hasn't pulled in big numbers, yet they let shows like "Wonderfalls" vanish swiftly and silently into the night. Also into huge DVD sales. I was just using my humor column to speculate what their reasons might be. Aside from corporate ADD, that is.

I did mispell Mr. Minear's name, and for that I hang my head. It's been fixed.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wow, Chris, that's very bold of you to come here, with your balls in danger and all.

I will hang my head in solidarity with you, Chris, for I didn't notice the mispelling. I am a bad fan. I wouldn't blow flies off a horse's rump I'm such a bad fan.

That said, I did enjoy you're article and thought you were spot on about FOX being a bunch of horses asses. Kind of makes me glad I'm a bad fan.
