The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'M GOING TO GO TELL TIM YOU'RE BOTHERING ME AND HE'LL KILL YOU ALL

While I'm sure Tim adores Allyson, I think it's more likely he'd throw some Ayn Rand Objectivism into the mix and sit back and laugh while we entertain him with our 'splodey heads.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Plus, I think killing people is a sign of love in the Minearverse.

(Stipulated: there are individuals, both sexes, who prefer to live alone. This is racially self-correcting.)

Sorry, but why is this is causing explosions? "Self-correcting" means, if this behavior spreads in each generation, we wind up extinct. Biologically, that's a problem. But since those who prefer to be alone are a lot less likely to have children, the problem fixes itself.

It's a side note, not a moral judgment.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Strega, I need some help, will you be around at all this week at night?

What is even happening?

I still don't understand line marriage.

I'm glad you posted that, Strega. I was sitting here wondering what I was missing, and if it was due to some blind spot I have because I'm a parent.

not going to comment on an all-mother government and that I think it would be worth a shot if, for nothing else, the likely reduction in wars because I'd be mostly taking the piss

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

But since those who prefer to be alone are a lot less likely to have children, the problem fixes itself.

What makes you think that preferring to live alone is a genetic trait, passed down from parent to child?

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Yeah, what about single mothers & fathers? (Although you could argue that it's not always by choice that they live alone.)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yeah, what about single mothers & fathers?

Don't be silly. The only conceivable configurations are the boring oppressive traditional nuclear family, or the polyamorous thing where grandad gets first dibs on your new girlfriend.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Uh, single parents aren't living alone -- they are living with their kid. No partner isn't the same as alone.

My mother and I could be participants in a study of the phenomenon. The genetically incapable of co-habitation. Though, since I am unlikely to spawn, it would be a very limited study.
