The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

If I only had a brain...

Is the longer time to apprehension related to a longer span between crimes? It seems like it would take longer to court, marry, kill, rinse, repeat than it would to just kill all the nurses in the Philadelphia area or something.

Excellent point. Same goes with have baby/murder baby, which, for obvious reasons, has a minimal 9-month time requirement.

Is it technically serial killing if you murder, say, 6 husbands? What's the def of serial killing?

Guh, Boston Creme Donuts.

Sorry, temporarily derailed by the thought of yummy goodness.

I have to say, I'm a little worried by this premise, not because I don't think Tim can do a good job, but because it sounds so grim and depressing. I mean, the characters can't be jolly, although they probably indulge in black humor, and the weekly plots will all involve grisly death of one form or another. Yeah, yeah, I loved H:LotS too, but I can't watch CSI: NYC or L&O: SVU.

Where's the dividing line between "engrossing but grim" and "too dark to watch"?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's the def of serial killing?

More than two, extended period of time, reverting to normal behaviour inbetween.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Depends on if you kill them all at once, or one at a time.
