It's all about colonoscopies.
The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress
[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.
I haven't seen either one (House or PP), but Point Pleasant at least sounds interesting.
It's about a psychic who can tell the manner of someone's death by looking at their colonoscopy results....
I think we should rename it Innards.

...starring Clyde Bruckman?
What happened to the moon?
It made Tim do the dishes.
Unless they've really retooled Point Pleasant, the pilot for House knocks it way out of the park.
I've read reviews that said it was painfully apparent that the showmakers for House got "notes" between the pilot and everything subsequent. The pilot is supposedly outstanding and groundbreaking and crabby and whatever, but the following eps get sexed-up underlings and generic crap like that.
I watched the second episode wondering what they meant about the obvious network-mandated changes. Then it ended with A Heartwarming Moment. Complete with power ballad.
The doctor is all, "I am smugger than Grissom" and I'm all, "come here so i can beat you with your cane, dickhead."
See, I like that he's an ass. It's kinda Jim Profit as Quincy. The rest of the show is the problem for me. But I would enjoy watching House and Grissom in a smug-off.

Ah, Goren¹ would kick both their asses.
