The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My brain is translating this into the Tapeheads definition of "production values". That is to say, T&A.

I own the Tapeheads soundtrack. Worth it for the "Roscoe's Rap" alone, celebrating all that is good and worthy about chicken and waffles.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

I think a Wonderfalls movie could work. Bryan said something about showing things from Aaron's perspective, and that's a neat idea -- Aaron's a great character. It would definitely have to be done carefully, though.

Hey. New board.

Hec made me hungry.

Need Roscoe's.

Can't have it.

t /offtopic

A Wonderfalls movie would not work. Well, not well. So says my opinion.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, if it comes out, you don't get to see it, so there.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

Actually, if done as a final effort to tell the story of how and why this happened to Jaye, throw in the budding relationship...(wheels turning)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Although I've said it in Press, I think it unlikely Tim reads our Press thread. :)

This is a note to Tim that Nilly's OIS review is up at the Nilly site?

(or in the Firefly thread)

I'm sure someone will mention it in the course of events what with Nilly flying to meet Tim, but I thought I would still put up the note as a formality.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I own the Tapeheads soundtrack. Worth it for the "Roscoe's Rap" alone, celebrating all that is good and worthy about chicken and waffles.

Me too. Though I also am inordinately fond of Devo singing in Swedish.

"Waffle's just a pancake with little squares on 'em"

WF seems very episodic to me. Part of its charm is the smallness of the stories.

Though you could say something very similar about FF, so, uh, no opinion here, keep moving please, nothing on topic to see in this post.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Dang. How come we only get twenty million reruns of Hee Haw and The Swan ?
