Lindsey: Why--why did you... Lorne: One last job. You're not part of the solution, Lindsey. You never will be. Lindsey: You kill me? A flunky?! I'm not just...Angel...kills me. You...Angel... Lorne: Good night, folks.

'Not Fade Away'

The Minearverse 3: The Network Is a Harsh Mistress

[NAFDA] "There will be an occasional happy, so that it might be crushed under the boot of the writer." From Zorro to Angel (including Wonderfalls and The Inside), this is where Buffistas come to anoint themselves in the bloodbath.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I own the Tapeheads soundtrack. Worth it for the "Roscoe's Rap" alone, celebrating all that is good and worthy about chicken and waffles.

Me too. Though I also am inordinately fond of Devo singing in Swedish.

"Waffle's just a pancake with little squares on 'em"

WF seems very episodic to me. Part of its charm is the smallness of the stories.

Though you could say something very similar about FF, so, uh, no opinion here, keep moving please, nothing on topic to see in this post.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, Canada!

Um.

VisionTV, a Canadian multi-faith and multicultural network, has picked up the entire first season of Wonderfalls, the critically acclaimed yet short-lived FOX drama, for its fall schedule.

Woo and a hoo! And that channel is part of the basic cable package in Toronto.

I was fine when existence had no meaning. Meaninglessness in a universe that has no meaning -- that I get. But meaninglessness in a universe with meaning? What does that mean?

Thanks for posting that, ita -- I put the info up at SaveWonderfalls.com.

Also, I know there are some Dead Like Me fans here -- the little promotional Gavin DeGraw/DLM music video they played and gave out on DVD at Comic-Con is now available online (search for "Gavin DeGraw" at a certain "supr" site). The video has some clips from seasons one and two and is pretty cute.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I'm growing to love Gavin DeGraw- has he had a song in a DLM ep and I missed it? (Chariot is on the DLM mix I'm making, so maybe I'm psychic. Rock.)

I don't think Gavin's had a song in the show yet; at Comic-Con they said something about how they recently heard about him and approached him to do the video. They'll probably include him this season.

I've liked him for a while, and I'm glad more people are discovering him now.
