oy, I must go to bed, I must! Good night, wee Buffistas! We'll still be here tommorrow, right? Right?
Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
But, come on, a horde of demons. Where's the supreme, overwhelming power about that? It's not grand enough, even with a dragon.
Did you see the gigantic, lumbering, shadowy figure behind the horde of demons, its head higher than the dragon's altitude?
In my mind, that's one of the Senior Partners.
They say, "Always leave them wanting more," and ME did a good job of that tonight. A nice episode, but for me not a great one. It felt more like a season finale than a series finale. Lots of small moments I liked, all of them listed already. A few nits to pick, but I think I'll leave them alone.
I didn't see Angel-bites-Hamilton coming, it was an excellent idea. I just wish that the bite and bloodsucking alone had been enough to do the job, so that we would have gotten to see Hamilton do an orgasm-face.
Well - much of this has already been said, but...
I liked the way each story ended.
I loved the poetry slam and how Spike's poem went full circle.
I hated Connor before, but I'm content with how he and Angel left it.
I'm sad Wes died, but he had nothing left to live for and I loved the symmetry.
Loved the HoYay.
I didn't like the group in the alley last 30 seconds, but I can live with it because I thought the ending of each individual line was so great.
I'm so sad it's over, but I'm happy with how it ended. I feel like the fact that I looved the finale makes it a bit more bearable that it's over. It ended well.
Oh, and that message from WB? Was crap.
When Hamilton started talking about blood I started thinking about Summers blood.
The episode really needed to be a two-parter.
The episode really needed to be a two-parter.
Working on it.
I have a short story that begins where we left off. hee.
Thank you, thank you, Joss.
I was thinking more that all the little individual storylines and fights could have been fleshed out more.
WRT the unended ending--Aurelia and I were both reminded of Thelma and Louise
Oh, yeah, before sleep, wanted to thank Joss, and Jeff Bell, and, you know, everyone else.
WRT the unended ending
what is the point of an unended ending? Are we supposed to think there's a possibility of survival? Is it to suggest that the ending is just too depressing/sad/whatever to be viewed, so they're "drawing a veil" over it?
With the rumors of movies etc. (no matter how nebulous) floating about, would those be prequels? I like closure.
Did you see the gigantic, lumbering, shadowy figure behind the horde of demons, its head higher than the dragon's altitude?
I saw something, but wasn't sure what. But even the Balrog can be beaten.
