So....is that it? Are we done?
Breaks again.
I can't really form words at the moment. I so knew it was going to be Wes, and I so didn't want it to be. While the ending wasn't closure, I'm happy with it. Not really happy about the death of Lindsey (not just on a liking the character level, but on a "I don't get the reasoning behind it" level.) I mean I guess Angel was expecting to die and didn't trust Lindsey to not help undo what the MoG had done afterwards, but it still seemed excessively harsh.
(Latter part x-posty with quester and others)
I flashed back to the Buffy episode and Giles telling Buffy that you can always tell the good guys by the white hats, the bad guys wear black and nobody ever dies.
That's "Lie to Me". How apropos. Off to watch the end of the basketball game. Thanks everyone. Show's been great, you've been great. Au revoir.

I was just going to say that. All I know is that the fight goes on...
I think Angel specifically told Lorne to kill Lindsey. I think Lorne would have killed Lindsey if he could have directly blamed him for Fred's death, or he attacked, but just knowing that he had an evil future would be something he'd report to Angel and then let him make the decision. I do think that's a sharp bit of irony - that Lorne's now all morally gray and doing stuff he considers wrong because he joined with the good guys.
Wow. I think that worked on all levels.
It hasn't hit me that its all over now. The creation is done, but I don't think it's day seven yet.
No cliffhanger Joss? Yeah. right.
Joe--I'm pretty sure that killing Lindsey was the "one last job" that Angel gave to Lorne.
I kinda think that if the series weren't ending, this season would've ended differently.
Maybe, maybe not. We'll never know. Unless there are script sides out there that have Joss' original intentions in them. Anyone know?

I'm liking Joe's theory. Killing Lindsey was Lorne acting solo. He'd read Lindsey, had seen him returning to evil, and couldn't let him live.
t on edit but Madrigal's theory is good too. Hmmm....
