You turned evil a lot faster than I thought you would.

This heart ain't gonna cut itself out

Gunn seriously rocked in this episode. Between the scene with Anne and the stakes out of his sleeves.

It's a remora, dimwit.

And again, fighting the dragon, ref. to saints and that original martyr hero, Beowulf. (I don't really consider that a spoiler since I'm guessing most people would realize that if you were in one of the first bits of fiction in the Englishy world you're probably not still alive unless you're a vampire, but then it'd be Beovamp and AP English would have been a lot more interesting.)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

So....is that it? Are we done?

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

And how fucking creepy is it that Fred and Wesley got to die in each other's arms?

It had to happen. I'm thwapping myself in the head for not seeing the symmetry before the episode aired.

Joss loves symmetry. Of course they had to die in each other's arms: it seems so obvious now.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

FUCK YOU, WB.

That is all.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

So....is that it? Are we done?

Breaks again.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I can't really form words at the moment. I so knew it was going to be Wes, and I so didn't want it to be. While the ending wasn't closure, I'm happy with it. Not really happy about the death of Lindsey (not just on a liking the character level, but on a "I don't get the reasoning behind it" level.) I mean I guess Angel was expecting to die and didn't trust Lindsey to not help undo what the MoG had done afterwards, but it still seemed excessively harsh.

(Latter part x-posty with quester and others)

I knew that topless lady had something up her sleeve. - John Prine

I flashed back to the Buffy episode and Giles telling Buffy that you can always tell the good guys by the white hats, the bad guys wear black and nobody ever dies.

That's "Lie to Me". How apropos. Off to watch the end of the basketball game. Thanks everyone. Show's been great, you've been great. Au revoir.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

So....is that it? Are we done?

I was just going to say that. All I know is that the fight goes on...

It's a remora, dimwit.

I think Angel specifically told Lorne to kill Lindsey. I think Lorne would have killed Lindsey if he could have directly blamed him for Fred's death, or he attacked, but just knowing that he had an evil future would be something he'd report to Angel and then let him make the decision. I do think that's a sharp bit of irony - that Lorne's now all morally gray and doing stuff he considers wrong because he joined with the good guys.
