My dad made a point of mentioning, in his toast at my wedding, that there are more lawyers in NYC than there are rats.
By most accounts there are far more rats than people here. (Varying accounts.) Even if there aren't there are certainly more rats than lawyers. But there are a lot of lawyers here, by which I mean the city. There are also a lot of lawyers here, by which I mean this firm. It's much quieter here than at W&H.
Then my "Bon Bon meets Jeff Alberts" paranoia can rest.
Ha! All week I'm working on defeating a claim his firm is making as a third party to a litigation I'm involved in, so....

You're using your powers for evil again, aren't you?
OK, bullshit poll time.
According to the promo, tonight "one of Angel's own will not survive."
Question 1: Does this mean someone will die (if a vampire, being staked = dying)? If not, what does it mean?
Question 2: Who won't survive?
I'll start the answers. (1) Someone will die. (2) It's Angel himself.
(1) Someone will die. (2) It's not one of Angel's own, but some ancilary character.
Of course, I never guess things right.
Heavy paraphrasing here, as I've only actually watched the run once.
Man, I dug the big Buffy/Angel fight from the episode where Faith turns herself in.
'You hit me!'
'Well, not to be all schoolyard about it, but you hit me first.'
'What happened to you, man?'
'I had my throat slit and all my friends deserted me.'
'Nobody scream or touch my arms!'
'Let's go Sparky! This heart ain't gonna cut itself out.'
'This will do.' was creepifying as all hell.
'Why can't I stay' poked my sad button pretty damn hard.
Cordelia vs Eve
Ok, the first ep where Cordy got demon impregnated. You know the twenty foot tall one? Wes is standing in front of it, dukes up, 'Do you have any hobbies?'
ETA: Poll question: 1) Someone's gone gone gone. 2) It's Wes.
Wes. Dead dead deadski. Major blaze of glory time for the guy who used to scream like a woman.
1) Multiple people will die
2) Ilyria and Wes. I have various half-baked theories as to why, but they're not worth going into right now.
I can't even lay odds on Wes. It seems just as likely they will as they won't.
One thing, though. I often find Joss's episodes to be a bit unsatisfying-- as if he was helicoptered in as a special guest writer. He doesn't quite have the characters down; some of his concerns are not the same as the arcs. For that reason, I expect to find this episode a little bit like that. On the other hand, perhaps because *this is it*, he will exceed all expectation. I certainly hope he's had some kind of end fo Angel in mind ever since the beginning-- if not of Buffy, than since the Shanshu prophecy.
