Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

'Life of the Party'

Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?

[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

plus? how did Angel bring her back? with some cold water? what is she? a Chia-Pet? just add a little water and she'll come to life.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Someone told him after Prophesy Girl that his "no breath" bit was just superstition from his youth.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk. --Tuco

I agree with those who lament the lack of mature mixed-sex friendships on TV, and also agree with those who say that such friendships are the basis of strong romantic relationships and the way TV never gets this right is a long-standing pet peeve of mine (I think ST:TNG almost got there with Riker & Troi, but there was a lot of nonsense as well).

I've never been sure how I feel about the Angel/Cordy relationship, but good point about Mal & Zoe, and (more kudos to Firefly) Mal and Kaylee also had a great friendship, although of a very different nature. Indeed, Mal's rich, varied relationships with all the women on Serenity constituted much of the texture of the show, come to think of it. Makes you wish you could have met his mother. But oops, not a Firefly thread.

Is my fanwank as a theory, BTW. Never has it since been discussed on the air.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I think ST:TNG almost got there with Riker & Troi

I thought it was canon that Riker and Troi had been involved briefly before they ever got assigned to the Enterprise together, hence all the heavy breathing and hand wringing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Riker and Troi have that whole Imzadi thing that preceded the Enterprise stint, and don't they end up married?

I don't think Mal and Zoe are friends. Not to devalue what they have, but I don't see a lot of confidences there. Confidence through action, perhaps, but only in certain arenas. Till death do they part, I also believe, but just in a different way. I can't see them ever talking -- their relationship has a different medium.

Yes, in one of the movies.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I see them as friends--they can show all their feelings to each other--something I don't think they can do to many people. I don't think they talk much, but my BF doesn't "talk" much to his closest friends, but the friendship is very real.

I think they have a very tight and invaluable bond, but that there are different characteristics from what I count as friendship.
