You may well be right, Ginger. It's been so long I just don't remember.
where are the Hill Street DVDs?
Oh, indeed. Speaking of which, I don't know if you watch Dead Like Me, but there's a simply marvelous tribute to HSB in the season premiere of DLM. I was utterly charmed.
Now I have to go fondle my 20-year-old HSB t-shirt.
And where are the Hill Street DVDs?
I'd take consistent re-runs, even, but yeah.
It reminded me of Angel saving Kate when she tried to commit suicide in her apartment on whatever "Angel" ep that was -- he got in even though she had never invited him. TPTB stepped in again with a small help.
I thought it was because she had died that he could get in without an invitation...
Tim was being too cryptic. I don't think it was as simple as that.
I don't care that some people didn't like Kate. I would have liked to see her in the final eps, even if it was to get killed off.
I thought it was because she had died that he could get in without an invitation...
See, I had wondered that, but then Kate had the line at the end about her never inviting Angel in, so I took it to mean that TPTB had been the reason Angel could enter her apartment. Otherwise, that line of Kate's was a total misdirect. Also, if Kate had died and then Angel brought her back, would mean that we'd end up with two police sidekicks? Because that would be annoying.
(Edited for clarity. Well, more than I usually bring to my posts, anyway.)
I think the same thing Narrator thinks, and not just about her clarity, either. :-P
I've been searching through the TT thread where Tim discussed it with us, and he was
somewhat
cryptic -- first asking rhetorically "wasn't she dead?", then posting "I didn't say she *was* dead" -- but the consensus at the time was that TPTB intervened.

I feel damned by faint praise. Or something.
