I don't know how he would stop her from aging. He did keep other people away so he could continue to feed off her but I don't think he had any powers beyond the paranoia stuff. Oh and the tentacles.

That was my vibe too. I didn't think he was using special powers to keep her alive. More like guilting the El Pollo Loco dude to do a drop and run every week.
