That was my vibe too. I didn't think he was using special powers to keep her alive. More like guilting the El Pollo Loco dude to do a drop and run every week.

Angel 5: Is That It? Am I Done?
[NAFDA] This is where we talk about the show! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Huh. I just figured he acquired her food somehow and kept the people who turn off water and utilities away, or something.
I just figured she had groceries delivered, and the monster kept away the people who would have turned of the water, etc.
No. I don't know where she got any money for groceries. But I don't know how Angel got that mansion (on BtVS), if he shaved, why he'd been alive for 200+ years and never developed an investment portfolio, how vampires get...engorged, or how Spike's roots kept growing out, either.
Angel bought Intel in 71.
I always figured Angel had an investment portfolio. How else could he have kept paying Wes and Cordy salaries?
And we know he has credit cards.
Angel bought Intel in 71.
After he had a soul. Huh.
And we know he has credit cards.
That never surprised me. If my cousin P can get credit cards, anyone can.

What they said....

Okay, but I don't get why an evil demon would bother with that for 50 years.
I'm clearly overthinking this, and am willing to file it with "how does Angel shave."

Why kill your chicken if it's still laying eggs?
Count me in as one of the few who was underwhelmed by AYNOHYEB.
AYNOHYEB: BOR-ing.
phew! i've seen the massive amounts of love for AYNOHYEB here and wondered if i was remembering it wrong or if i had just watched an entirely different ep than everyone else. glad to see i'm not alone. though i do think a rewatch is in order. i distinctly remember being underwhelmed by it though. will report back after i've seen it again. it's been way too long for me to take a concrete stance.
