Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, I like Job. In the biblical sense.

Don't know. Maybe the ballot needs to be structured differently. As in:

Don't close
Close thread now
Close thread one month after DVD.

Or something like this: No Drama thread.
Drama thread no white font
Drama thread, white font for a 24 hours
Drama thread, white font for a week

Granted this leads to runoffs which I find irksome though more like consensus.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

closing VM was not controversial, but I remember being annoyed that NP carried the day on leaving it open for awhile.

what's the solution? People want it closed. If we hadn't included the NP votes, when would it have closed?

You raise a good point, and I don't mean to say that you're wrong that the furor over NP might be largely moot by recent votes. I'm not sure how to solve it.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I will laugh like a hyena if we end up with preferential voting somehow!

HA! I knew that would be your response, Jon.

I think the bigger issue is for us to discuss why it's TV threads driving so much voting and come up with a better long term solution for that.

Actually no preference is almost LIKE preferential voting. Except more irritating because it has the taint of indifference and hands thrown in the air to it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's because I haven't proposed my "What's for lunch" thread yet. Actually, theperfectworld really has that as a thread. Speaking of places that have a thread for everything.

What else is there to vote on?

Seriously.
