Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love that one too!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Works for me.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

oh, perfect!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Are we going to create a new thread, or reopen the experimental thread under a new name? Also, are there any changes to the thread slug and header, apart from removing the "experimental" verbiage? Right now it's:

Slug:

Thread for discussion of non-fiction television, including documentaries and reality shows. [NAFDA]

Header:

This thread is for non-fiction tv, including but not limited to documentaries and reality shows. [NAFDA]

Personally, I would prefer that we simply reopen the old thread with a new name. I'm not sure how anyone else feels about that.

It's the creation of a new thread, not a re-opening of an old thread. Experimental stays experimental; this is a brand-spakin'-new Nonfic thread.

I'd like to incorporate the wording from the proposal for the header, because I think it touches on the kinds of television and examples of that kind of television. And I'd like something clever-er for the slug, really.

ETA: The proposal I put forth was a new thread, not an extension of experimental. I think it's important that the experimentals exist as they currently do, to reference the data Cindy was looking for.

What is even happening?

I don't care, either way. If it were a thread in which I'd been active, because the subject matter is exactly the same, I would prefer naming and re-slugging the experimental, just so the conversation could continue easily, but I don't think it's a big deal. It seems to me it should be SA's call. It was her proposal.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I vote for renaming and reopen. We had conversations in there and I would like the conversation to keep going. It's all here what the history of the thread is.

I *love* the proposed new title.

Note: if someone feels REALLY strongly that it should be a new thread, I wouldn't fight it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Couldn't we put a Natter-esque "Discussion continues here" link at the end of the closed thread, and reference it with a link in the slug of the new one so anyone interested in the prior conversations can go back easily?
