And I think the vote could go much like the initial vote with additional "If yes, do you want whitefont?" and "If yes again, how long for white font?" additions.

That works. And there's whatever else the genius of the 'fistas brings up. How many seconds to go to Lightbulbs?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I think folding cable drama into premium would works best (and am also amused at this, since it was a suggestion to do exactly this that started this whole thing in the first place).

I agree. And also find it kind of low-grade hilarious.

I would like another comedy thread, and I think it can support things in much the same as it was. We may want slightly clearer lines for TDS and TCB, though. I don't quite feel right talking about them in Non-fic; they seem more Comedy to me.

I think a week is far too long for whitefronting. 24 hours max. I'd be okay with that in a Drama thread (which I could also get behind) for Network shows.

I have no opinion on a non-fic thread, other than that I would like one, particularly when Top Chef comes back on.

I'm surprised at how well the Experimentals worked for me, and seemingly for other people. I'm not entirely sure what data we got out of them--nothing particularly popped out at me--and thus, if we were to do permanant-style threads in much the same manner, with Cable rolling into Premium, I would be for it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I was originally all for mixing the Premium thread with other cable shows, but now I would rather it not be that way. I don't have any premium stations right now, but I eventually want to rent some of those shows on DVD. I'd rather not be spoiled for them, and I really liked having a thread to discuss "The Riches".

How many seconds to go to Lightbulbs?

I believe it's 4 seconds.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I would really like us to have some more substantive discussion before we move to lightbulbs. After all, we just closed the threads this morning.

This is a shift for our community. I'd like us to make it in a deliberate way, moreso than just the "some people will be unhappy" part of the process inherent in voting.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I would really like us to have some more substantive discussion before we move to lightbulbs.

Although I'm incapable of substance at the moment, I agree with Liese on this.

Substant away. What issues would you like to address?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

One thing I would point out is what's coming up on the block in terms of shows. That is, I think reality, that is Non-fiction, shows are going to be holding the majority of broadcasting during the next few months, so getting a Non-Fiction thread set up might be the primary goal.

I say this as someone who has Boxed Set to fall back on when EUREKA starts up, not as an interested party.

However, there's also the dilemma of RESCUE ME in a short time, so the folding cable drama into the premium cable thread would be of benefit (though I'm so far fucking behind in the RICHES that I'm not necessarily going to contribute).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am, I have to say, a bit confused as to why people think it is a good idea to add Cable Drama to Premium. Not that I think it is a bad idea, necessarily, but several people have said it seems like a good fit and I can't see where that conclusion is coming from. I've been skimming lightly through Cable Drama as I haven't been watching the Riches yet, and while the discussion is robust it doesn't cry out for a home in Premium, to me. If someone could explain it to me, I would appreciate it.

OK, leaving aside any possible thematic similarities (and I think there are a great deal in the shows that seem to get MOST discussed from both), there's also the fact that unlike most of the Network Drama shows (not all, certainly, but most), the cable and premium cable shows get broadcast multiple times during the week, so you don't even need to DVR or TIVO them when they are first broadcast, which leads to a far greater disparity in the viewing time for folks.

Some network shows get double duty, but they seem to be fewer and farther between then they used to (Heroes reruns getting pulled from SF once the show was a hit is what I'm thinking of here.)
