A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Anyone can add links using the form at the bottom of the links page.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Anyone can add links using the form at the bottom of the links page.

But does that make it a link in the left sidebar? I thought that only stompies could do that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Actually, Jon and I are the only ones that edit the left sidebar.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Is there really room in the left sidebar for something like this? I like the idea in theory, but I think it would look awfully crowded. What's wrong with adding a section to the Links page?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I agree with this.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

There's a box for filk, I thought there could be a box for Buffista-written books.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I think the difference is that the filk is hosted here. But I'll wait for the opinion of the design gurus.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Well, I don't know if a proposal is shaping up for Allyson's book links idea or not. I'd certainly support it.

As for the TV threads --

What does everyone think of how well they did? I know the non-fiction thread semmed popular, and I certianly liked it and would want to see it continue (or a new one take its place).

I think the non-fiction/reality thread would probably get a lot of support, and I'm certainly ready to propose it, but I also want to see what discussion pops up about our experimental threads before I seriously put it forth.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I think we found out that there's sizable support for discussing TV and that sub-communities were starting to form around certain shows. The Office comes to my mind, mainly because that's the one I was part of, but there were others.

It was also nice not to navigate the substantial white font in Natter (and I'm constitutionally incapable of passing white font without highlighting) whenever certain shows aired.

So I'd definitely like to keep a vehicle that centers on TV (also, not unfitting for a board that started because of a TV show and still emphasizes popular culture) and nurtures those subcommunities as well as new ones. The four-thread format seemed to work well, but I'd be happy to look at other possibilities.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I didn't set foot in the other threads, since I don't watch most of the shows they covered, but I absolutely loved having the Comedy thread and would be really thrilled to have something like it arise from this discussion. Basically, I'd love to have someplace to talk about The Office with Buffistas, but I also think the size of the Comedy thread worked really well; although one show got more traffic than the others, you could already see the cross-pollination at work (which is to say, I'll be Netflixing How I Met Your Mother next!), and the discussion speed was totally manageable.
