I think the cross-pollination of the genres works well. I'm not one who desperately avoids spoilers--I've been known to track them down to soothe suspsense worries (I read the ends of books, too)--so I may not be the best advocate.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My intention (although the board could go another way) wasn't to test drive these threads. It was to get an idea of what shows we watch that generate discussion, and if there were any obvious ways to group them, or if any show we watch generates enough discussion that it deserves its own thread.

Heh. That depends on how much "enough" is. I don't think I've seen a single show dominate a thread the way Heroes sometimes "took over" Boxed Set.

I think the genre sectioning is working pretty well too.

Oh, balls. June 1? Is that going to be when all the discussion is happening? I'm going to be at a conference until June 5. I hope Important Voting doesn't take place while I'm gone.

Our wings are not tired

I've only been able to go into the Reality Thread because the mix of shows in the other threads means there's a lot of stuff I'm not caught up on. I've been enjoying the discussions in Reality about History Channel and Discovery Channel stuff, and I think there might be enough there to support a thread. I'd like to see a split between those shows and the Survivor/Top Designer/etc. type shows since it seems like those discussions aren't crossing much. At least to me.

Thrive to spite them

I like the threads. However, I think we need to change Comedy and Network Drama to whitefont for awhile because I think people are not able to watch some of the right away and are staying away so they won't get spoiled.

Cable Drama is whitefont, isn't it? I've been wondering why that one hasn't had the same traffic.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maybe just, fewer people get the premium channels.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I don't think I've seen a single show dominate a thread the way Heroes sometimes "took over" Boxed Set.

Is that what happened in there??

What is even happening?

SPN in Boxed Set, now.

Heh. That depends on how much "enough" is. I don't think I've seen a single show dominate a thread the way Heroes sometimes "took over" Boxed Set.

That would be for the board to decide. I figure this might (for instance) give the Bones viewers a chance to realize there are enough of them that they want to propose a thread. It'll be enough if it passes as a ballot measure. Some people might only vote in favor of adding a thread when there's clear domination. Others have a much lower threshhold.

I actually like how the threads are now, but I'm not spoiler averse and I am noticing that some people are absent.
