If we're creating only one thread for the purpose of the experiment, I'd say general drama.
Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

If we're going to go white font anyhow, I wouldn't specify any genre. I suspect people will mostly talk about drama, but since we'd be experimenting to see what people want to talk about -- let's just let the people talk, and see what comes out.
If we're going to go white font anyhow,
Did we agree to do that? I hate white font in show threads.
People don't white font in the Premium thread. I think it really inhibits discussion because you have to be conscious of how you phrase everything.
I'd rather spoilerphobes beware policy. Is that undoable?
Procedurals Thread - House, The Unit, Without a Trace, CSI(s), Numb3rs, jericho (?), Bones, The Closer, Cold Case, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Law and Order(s)
This is where I'd be.
I can't imagine a broad based TV thread where no one is expected to time-shift. I say whitefont as we do in natter. Works for us fine there.
Did we agree to do that? I hate white font in show threads.
If we're talking about a provisional/experimental thread, I think it would be best. More people would feel free to try it out, without fear of being spoiled for May Sweeps. If the experiment ends up showing us we do need some TV threads (either show specific or buckets) we may end up white fonting in some and not in others. But for the experiment, I think it would be kindest.
I hate whitefont, too, and like the idea of piloting a general drama, rather than general tv, thread.
That's a lot of whitefont
It's an awful lot of white font, but it's for a month - 6 weeks, until we have a better idea of what we want.
I think when you have a smaller number of shows in the bucket you have less of a need for whitefont. So, for me, it's an argument for smaller buckets instead of a general drama thread. It's the Goldilocks "just right" vibe.
Despite connie's enthusiasm I don't have a sense that procedurals would get a lot of discussion. Most of them aren't arc-y shows, are they?
I'd get a better experimental sense on doing a small bucket thread with no whitefont. I'd lean towards an FX thread then over a general drama thread.
Maybe a quick straw poll on that? FX or general?
