Hey. So we folks that frequent Premium Blend would like to discuss FX shows in there as well as HBO and Showtime shows, because they run along the same thematic lines and lend themselves to mutual generalised discussion. Can we amend the slug? Or is this something we need to put to vote?

Which shows would those be? (Since Tivo, I don't know what channel anything comes on.)
The Shield, nip/tuck, Dirt, Rescue Me, etc.
The Riches, too. Which is what I originally brought it up for.
Which shows would those be?
I actually don't know what channel things are on either. But they're sort of a natural fit with the cussing-and-fucking shows.
I only know because FX is more likely than any other cable network to do cussin' and fuckin' shows. In high volume, anyway.
I don't think stuff like USA's line up of Dead Zone, Monk, and Psych fit into the schema, though it might be worth considering momentarily. But probably not until the summer when they come back. Dead Zone (and Lifetime's Blood Ties) are both Boxed Set shows anyhow.
I definitely think that since FX shows are TV-MA that they are kind of a piece with HBO/Showtime type shows. Granted, by that definition, so is South Park and other Comedy Central/Adult Swim shows. But the FX ones are also serial dramas.
This may also open the can of worms that is BBC-A since they have shows that WERE cussing and fucking shows but may no longer be.
It does bring to mind shows like Spooks and Life on Mars, though LoM also fits the Boxed Set classification, and there are no problems with DW or TW on that score either.
The premium thread was no problem for me as a viewer/discusser because I watch premium shows on DVD, and there's no market for discussion on that schedule, not to mention the spoiler issues.
Now it's wanted to be no longer premium, but thematic? And a theme that so far seems less intuitive than the answer to "Due South? Boxed Set?"
I foresee a very slippery slope.
I thought the point of premium was that it was shows on channels you had to pay for. FX, AFAIK, isn't for pay in any market, it's a freebee.
