Can we start a new one with the History title?
I must say, getting a raspberry in the 10,000th post is both insulting and oddly exhilirating.

Oh dang, now there's no free Stompies. Oh well. See, that's the problem with closing down a thread.
It's up.
Thanks, DX.
Hey, so, I was thinking--in the Tech thread, it might be useful to index some of our more helpful topics. Like, we've had some good discussions about Ubuntu, and iPods, and the relative merits of different phones, etc. Since we get asked some questions repeatedly, or for future reference for ourselves, I thought it might be a good idea.
That's a really good idea, SA. I'm sure every time I ask something in Tech that I'm repeating a question that's been asked a zillion times.
Index how?
Nothing too fancy, just one or two people going through the most recent thread, maybe even the last two, and grabbing links to good discussion on topics we've handled in the past, then listing them in the tech thread to double check that they're still relevant or useful, then listing them in the slug, probably alphabetically. I don't anticipate it being more than about an hour's rifling, and the topics would be less than five things, which could be handled pretty easily in the thread slug as one single comma-abbreviated line.
I hope this is the correct thread to discuss this, if it isn't, could someone kind direct me to the appropriate spot?
I noticed quite a few brand-new, spanking posters in the Spoilers thread all of the sudden (a series of posts that are VERY spoilery were linked in Twop). Not a huge deal, but I am wondering if a welcoming committee needs to be sent out or a reminder of the FAQ or something.
Has everyone been playing nicely so far, LeN? If so, I think we should be okay. It's perfectly possible they'll never stray outside that thread. But it would be interesting to welcome them in general and ask where they came from--I think we were linked to from Warren Ellis's site too.
