Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think this paragraph by Nilly is an excellent way of looking at the crux of the issue:

The one thing which I feel is important for me to know whether it's true or not is the report on his death. Regardless of other stories, taking this one at face value may hurt people. Telling a story about that is involving the online personality with the "outside" facts. And that's what makes it different, IMHO, than any other coming-up with stories about a person's life events.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I don't mind if Gus was a pseud; factual elements, which were always fantastic, aside, he was a unified voice, and never asked for anything from us but our time. I just hope nobody is laughing, because that would bother me.

My seestor posts wisely. No! You can't claim she's your sister! She's mine, all a figment of my imagination!

Casper and the Dillo are actually my cats. (My imaginary cats.)

Sorry, sorry. I had to inject some levity, because that is my job. In all seriousness, I'm glad the conversation is happening, and I'm glad it's happening in nice and thinky ways, and I agree it's an awkward position to be put into -- hoping that a guy is dead because the alternative is not-nice.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, that's just sloppy storytelling. shakes head

There's a picture of Seamus on that page too. Anyone seen it before?

It occurred to me yesterday (I actually had a nightmare about this, you guys, where Hec and I and someone else went to the Wisconsin address and no one had ever heard of Gus and he had never existed and it was ALL LIES and it was very distressing) that if "Janitor" has been posting as Gus on tropes and "Janitor" is supposedly kimi and kimi announced Gus's death and the death is not real then perhaps neither is kimi. Had he mentioned her before?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

(Hec and Polter-cow fight CRIME! Hee! But which one is the sidekick?)

Hec's the one with charisma. But I've got the wisecracks. We're more of a duo. Like Batman and...Batman Prime.

I've been assuming that she's his 'goilfriend' - he's mentioned her a lot.

Yeah, I think I remember that term, but I don't know if he'd mentioned anything else about her. Like I said before, I had thought "kimi" was a known entity before she announced the news, so I didn't question it.

Gus told us that he was 18 when Seamus was born.

Elsewhere, things he said led Buffistas to conclude he (Gus) would now be around 70 years old. I can't tell how old Seamus is in that picture, but it does not look to me as though Seamus is in his mid-forties.

No, he looks late twenties.

Sigh. This does not look good for Homestar Runner.
