Count me in on the no-vote remembrence thread.

Gus, you'll be missed.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh, could you not see me nodding? Yes, thread, no, vote.

And is Oxfam better than Heifer Intl? If so, why?

I'm going with the majority here. Yes thread, no vote, charity good.

I looked up Cameron, Wi. The county seat is Barron, the Barron News-Shield is the paper for Barron, and all of December's obituaries are listed, but Gus isn't among them. The next nearest town is Cameron. It has all of November and December's obituaries online. There's none there, either. Maybe he just didn't have an obituary?

Because books.

I think someone has to submit an obituary, don't they?

Yes to the thread, no to the voting for thread, and any kind of charity that does good will be fine, I think. We'll be doing good in Gus's name either way.

Yes. And they're actually not cheap.

I prefer Heifer, but I'm hoping kimi will weigh in before we get there anyway.

I'm really grateful she found her way here to let us know - I've thought about that in my more morbid moments in the past. Though by now my sister, and possibly my father (if he could translate "your Buffy people" into here) would know where to go and know how important it would be to me to do so.

Deena, I was so chuffed to see "Spawn1" on the old Natter stats David posted. Heh. I'd forgotten you actually dragged him into posting for a while.

Yeah, I think about that sometimes. It was fun. He's planning to tour in the spring, and their recording their first CD right now. They have a sponsorship from Sam Ash.

I didn't know it costs money to put in an obit. That seems wrong.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I hope so too.

I think I said "Oxfam" because of a pop-up. And not remembering Heiffer at the moment. We'll find something nice.
