Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

StY knows. I made sure.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Greg knows too, as does Nick.

Deena, I was so chuffed to see "Spawn1" on the old Natter stats David posted. Heh. I'd forgotten you actually dragged him into posting for a while.

Yeah, I think about that sometimes. It was fun. He's planning to tour in the spring, and their recording their first CD right now. They have a sponsorship from Sam Ash.

I didn't know it costs money to put in an obit. That seems wrong.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I prefer Heifer, but I'm hoping kimi will weigh in before we get there anyway.

I hope so too.

I think I said "Oxfam" because of a pop-up. And not remembering Heiffer at the moment. We'll find something nice.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Heifer is very expensive compared to Oxfam ($500 per cow vs $75), but since both are symbolic donations (nobody gets an actual cow), I'm not sure it's a valid comparison. Both sound good to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huh. I thought Oxfam wasn't symbolic.

When I won $100 from Gus in a silly bet, it went to Heifer, FWIW. But who knows.

Heifer is a client of ours, so I know a lot more about their mission and internal workings than other charities. I wouldn't say I have actual objections to Oxfam (unlike United Way, or some other biggies).

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I also agree with the thread, and creating by consensus, not by vote. I also think it's a good idea to have it open for posting only when it's appropriate, and not always there. Thanks for articulating what was needed when I wasn't even sure how to formulate the words, guys.

What is even happening?

Can we wait for some confirmation of his death?
