Nothing I love more than opening Light Bulbs.
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.

Third. (I'm bored)
Yeah, last one.... Seconded.
Nothing I love more than opening Light Bulbs.
Right?!
The proposal is this:
Please to add another Boxed Set thread to the TV folder, tentatively titled, "Boxed Set: Premium."
The purpose of the thread will be to discuss current season shows on HBO/Showtime, like Deadwood, Big Love, Entourage and such.
I've no thoughts on whether the thread should be NAFDA. I don't have a horse in that race.
Seconded.
I'll second as well.
And I'd like cinnamon on my peaches, please. (Sorry, Dan.)
I don't have a horse in that race.
Neither do I. Let the UnAmericans decide!
Does it have to be limited to Showtime and HBO. Granted, I don't think any of the other premium stations have original programming, but I could see people wanting to discuss Slings and Arrows or the like.
And, Cinemax could create a new soft porn drama and we know how Buffistas like their pron.
Ah, sweet anti-proliferation arguments, how I have missed thee.
I agree with:
Personally, I also like having TV talk all over the place,
but not because of:
because it forces people to check out threads they might not otherwise go into. It fosters community, or something.
It actually functions opposite for me. If there are shows being discussed in other threads (typically, than Natter & Boxed Set for me, personally) then I completely forget their existence. Whereas if there were fascinating whitefont or general blackfonted discussion in Natter, I would perhaps get interested in the show. That's what happened to me with PR. Like, I've completely blanked out the existence of that...you know...whadda call...Victoria Mars or whathaveyou.
That being said, I don't have premium channels (or UPN for that matter) so I don't really care if there's a premium channel thread. Except for the basic anti-proliferation reasons.
