Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

As it is it seems that most people just read both threads anyway

Most people haven't even chimed in with anything, much less saying how they read the threads.

Because books.

I assume Beep Me is for any personal news, and Press is anything that's of interest to Buffistas at large. Pretty much the way FredPete described it. I read both, but if I'm rushed, I'm more likely to read Beep Me first.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Maybe we should ask the question in Press? Or is it Beep Me?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

(wandering in after seeing number of new posts)

Huh. I always assume Beep Me is personal news, and Press is News of the World (in this instance, this particular world).

Have I been inverting that, or misusing it? If so, apologies.

Our wings are not tired

Most people haven't even chimed in with anything, much less saying how they read the threads.

Point taken. It would seem that people read both threads, but that may not be accurate.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Huh. I always assume Beep Me is personal news, and Press is News of the World (in this instance, this particular world).

Yep, that's my understanding. (Well, news of the world or News You Can Use, y'know?)

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I read both threads, and this:

Beep Me is for any personal news, and Press is anything that's of interest to Buffistas at large.

is how I've always thought of it. But I have to say it really doesn't bother me when stuff gets posted in the wrong thread, since I read both anyway, and they're both really low-volume.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Huh. I always assume Beep Me is personal news, and Press is News of the World (in this instance, this particular world).

Yup. I'd as soon keep them that way, though I guess I could be convinced otherwise.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I just read both whenever I see a new message.

Doesn't really matter to me how the news gets disseminated, as long as it does.
