Thank you, Nilly. I even did a google search for Buffista cheesebutt, but it was fruitless (or cheeseless).
Insent to you and Jon B. at your profile addresses.
I expect to be without Internet access during voting, so I'd like to submit an absentee ballot for the VM thread, and my preference is indicated in the email. As I note in the email, if people feel this goes against our principles for voting, then please disregard it. My one vote on this issue is not worth a prolonged discussion.
So the cheesebutt page is not actually linked from the FAQ, right? I looked again and didn't find it. (I now have it bookmarked, but that's not the point).
Looks like we're going to need a name for Natter 38 pretty soon.
Natter .38 Special?
Given that there's an execution going on, I'm game for the .38 special.
Cheesebutt is being revised, as are the FAQ, etc, IIRC.
Edit needed in the vote announcement in both Press and Light Bulbs. It currently reads
Voting closes Thursday, April 8, at 6 AM (PST).
Fixed. And it wasn't just "April" that was wrong.
Whoops! I noticed the error right away on the ballot itself, and fixed it, but missed the error in the announcements. Thanks DX!

The How-To page contains this, under the Navigation section:
To check subscriptions in all your threads, you can use the "Message Center" option to check for new messages in your subscribed threads, or you can use the "Read New" link to check for new posts in all your threads.
So we kind of explain it, but it could definitely be clearer. "Message center" and "subscribe" seem to be defined only in terms of each other, which probably isn't the most helpful way to do it.
If that gets clarified, it should definitely mention the awesome Subscribe/Unsubscribe link right in the header of each topic.
So love that link.
