Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Given that there's an execution going on, I'm game for the .38 special.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cheesebutt is being revised, as are the FAQ, etc, IIRC.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Edit needed in the vote announcement in both Press and Light Bulbs. It currently reads

Voting closes Thursday, April 8, at 6 AM (PST).

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Fixed. And it wasn't just "April" that was wrong.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Whoops! I noticed the error right away on the ballot itself, and fixed it, but missed the error in the announcements. Thanks DX!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(Moved from Natter)

The How-To page contains this, under the Navigation section:

To check subscriptions in all your threads, you can use the "Message Center" option to check for new messages in your subscribed threads, or you can use the "Read New" link to check for new posts in all your threads.

So we kind of explain it, but it could definitely be clearer. "Message center" and "subscribe" seem to be defined only in terms of each other, which probably isn't the most helpful way to do it.

If that gets clarified, it should definitely mention the awesome Subscribe/Unsubscribe link right in the header of each topic.

So love that link.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If that gets clarified, it should definitely mention the awesome Subscribe/Unsubscribe link right in the header of each topic.

Just figured this out too. Sweet.

I'm not sure what I thought subscribe meant, but, per Jess' point, I didn't really see much in the how-to (not sure I looked all that closely, though).

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I can't believe I am actually contemplating this, but what do people think about having a Fall 2005 tv thread? This could incorporate as many of the new Fall premiere shows as people are interested. Should I table this question until the current vote has finished?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can't believe I am actually contemplating this, but what do people think about having a Fall 2005 tv thread?

Look at you! You brave little critter. You know, I think it's an interesting idea, but this has been a very very much discussed subject (i.e., A TV Thread) and from my familiarity with the longstanding arguments around here, I don't think that'll get traction. I'd recommend seeing how the vote goes for a VM thread, and then (over time) seeing what it means that we've got dedicated threads to Lost and Veronica Mars here.
