I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Regarding the localistas mailing lists, I believe that Java cat is the administrator for the Bay Area list on Yahoo groups. Sorry if this is a duplicate and I missed it.

Jesse, I vaguely recall you did some stuff for donations back when. What's the board "organization"? Non-profit? For-profit? Just a bunch of yokels?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just a bunch of yokels. I would describe it as an informal social club.

OK, I wasn't sure and the cookbook thing made me curious.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I would describe it as an informal social club.

Clothing optional.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If you click on the link provided you only get LA, NY and Somerville. Did we not migrate any of the other lists? Are any hosted somewhere else (and if so, you know I always lean towards data consolidation)?

The midwest list exists.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is there a reason it isn't publicised? Can you tweak it so it is?

Also -- is there a reason that the Bay Area list can't be assimilated?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

That's got to be a problem with the mailing list system, no? Shouldn't it have automatically included the midwest list on the list of lists?

Nebbermind. It's the very first privacy option in the list administrator's console. The list admin needs to set it to "yes" for it to show up.
