It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Our wings are not tired

I'll second Gus's proposal. I'd love to see those threads.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm not trying to summarily dismiss the proposal either, and I'm not real thrilled to have my counter-argument labeled as such.

I like the Boxed Set thread. I consider it a subculture at this point. I don't want to see it split up.

I liked the subculture of Boxed Set back before it was combined with everything. Alas, that is no more.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

To me, having all of Sci-Fi Friday in one thread makes far more sense than the original Boxed Set combo, which was Farscape, Smallville, and Due South (all of which had their own subcultures, all of which more or less disappeared when they were combined). So the idea of splitting them all up again doesn't appeal to me.

I feel sort of bad about the fact that Boxed Set is just not the same for some of the people who were in the separate threads before The Change. I didn't start venturing into any of them until they were combined into Boxed Set, which I thoroughly enjoy.

I like the way it is now, and I wouldn't want it to split. Nothing wrong with making the proposal, naturally, but it's not one I want to support.

I'm not sure whether that even needed to be said, but I felt odd being silent. I got no gripe - I just don't have a second for it.

Edited for clarity. I hope.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I feel sort of bad about the fact that the new Boxed Set is just not the same for some of the people who were in it before The Change. I didn't start venturing in there until the new iteration came about, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I don't even remember what it was like before the change -- wasn't it always the de facto -- yet unspoken -- thread for SGA and the other sci-fi/fantasy shows? Even though the thread slug said just Smallville, Farscape, and Due South?

I was there, at least intermittently, from the thread's inception, and I have no idea what "The Change" refers to. I'm honestly perplexed.

Oh, thank god. I thought it was just me.

I wasn't in the threads, so maybe I'm wrong. Didn't there used to be separate threads, and then Boxed Set combined them into one? That's what I meant. I edited my post; it was unclear. I made it sound like Boxed Set had changed. Boxed Set was the change.

Feel free to ignore that part. My main point is, I like it as it is now.

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, back when we were worried about straining the server, Farscape, Smallville, and Due South got combined. But it morphed into the Stargate, Etc thread almost instantly.
