And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Didn't there used to be separate threads, and then Boxed Set combined them into one?

Oh, gotcha. Yeah, back when we were worried about straining the server, Farscape, Smallville, and Due South got combined. But it morphed into the Stargate, Etc thread almost instantly.

poor poor Smallville, falling through the cracks.

Out of curiousity, how long after a proposal does the proposer get to procure her 4 people seconding?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Looking through old Bureau threads, Nutty "Bureaucracy 2: Like Sartre, Only Longer" May 4, 2003 10:54:30 am PDT , we don't seem to have ever set a time limit for seconding proposals. However, we did set a time limit for seconding proposed sanctions against members (10 people must second within 48 hours), which seems to me sufficient time for any proposal.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

poor poor Smallville, falling through the cracks.

Well, Smallville can only blame itself, for how it began to suck in the 2nd season.

Thanks DX.

Yes. This is true, Steph. I didn't watch at all this season.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I second Laura's proposal. I would really love to see someone get that to work.

Our wings are not tired

I propose that we abolish time zones.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I am more than a little embarrased by my outbursts. I get all declarative and noisy when I see some kind of solution for my momentary frustrations.

The SciFi Friday thread seems interesting. It would still have the time zone problem, though. There is probably some forum for SciFi Friday that might serve my desires. It doesn't have to be here. The SciFi channel might even sponsor them.

I just like to have my online reading already to have been processed by the Buffistas kook filter.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

It would still have the time zone problem, though.

O ye of vast, enthusiastic youth! O ye who do not remember west coast people "signing off" from the Buffy thread at 8pm Eastern, so as not to spoil their virgin eyes! And signing back on again 3 hours later, and scrolling like mad things to express their Buffistonic glee without spoiling themselves for the rest of that hour!

(Actually, I want to say that "here is the link to leap over the Wrong Coast Watch-and-Post" is where Nilly first became a verb. Am I right??)

So, this is not a new problem. Sadly, the lack-of-solution you are lamenting is not new either.
